Examples of early marbles have been found in ancient Mesopotania and Egypt where glass probably originated from.

Nowadays they are mass produced by machine. However machines cannot produce ‘flower’ patterns so these are splendid examples of traditional hand made marbles.

The time taken to produce the marble depends on size and complexity of the patterns, taking anything from 1 – 3 hours of torch time.
